ArchivalResource

Charles Love Durham papers, 1897-1959.

Primarily papers generated during Durham's years at Cornell as a student, professor, and administrative assistant. For the early years there are largely family letters concerning activities in Greenville, South Carolina, and the Gilreath-Durham Company (hardware). The 1915-1940 papers mainly concern student advisement, Chi Psi fraternity business, faculty activities, and publicity work for the university. From his retirement to his death (1940-1949) the material pertains primarily to faculty business and the Greater Cornell Fund, when Durham served as assistant to the University Provost and to the Vice President for University Development. Includes a videocassette made from a home movie of Durham walking around the campus, 1939.
